Professor Xie Jianxin
Professor Xie Jianxin, born in June 1958, is a doctoral supervisor. He graduated from Central South University in February 1982 and received his PhD in Engineering from the Department of Material Processing, College of Technology, Tohoku University, Japan in March 1991.He returned to China in 1995 to serve as a professor at Beijing University of Science and Technology.He was appointed as a special professor in the Jiang Scholars Award Program of the Ministry of Education in 2001, supported by the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2002, awarded the Achievement Award for Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars in 2003 and honored as a National Excellent Science and Technology Worker in 2014.He was elected academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2015.
His main academic part-time job is as an expert group in the field of new material technology under the National 863 Plan during the Tenth Five-Year Plan ~ "the Twelfth Five-Year Plan", and as a group leader of the National Key Special Expert Group for Material Genome Engineering during the Thirteenth Five-Year Plan. His main research interests are metal controlled solidification and controlled forming, advanced composite material preparation and processing, intelligent material preparation and processing technology, metal extrusion theory and technology. He won 1 second prize of National Award for Technological Invention, 2 second prize of National Award for Scientific and Technological Progress, 2 international academic awards, 6 first prize and 2 second prize of Provincial and Ministerial Award for Scientific and Technological Progress. He has published more than 200 academic papers in SCI and EI.Five monographs, one translated work and one textbook were officially published.80 national invention patents have been applied for, 61 of which have been authorized. Technologies such as direct composite casting of copper-clad aluminum composite material, short-flow and high-efficiency preparation and processing of high-performance copper and copper alloy pipes, design and manufacture of complete dies for high-performance aluminium profile extrusion, isothermal extrusion, etc. have been transferred to 20 enterprises for industrialization or pilot development. Teaching achievements: 1 first prize of national teaching achievements, 1 first prize of provincial and ministerial teaching achievements and 2 second prize.
